NewNest helps newcomers to Pretoria settle in, find people they can trust and make friends — in their first month, not their first year.
Why we built it
Moving to a new city means starting from zero: no one to ask which tax advisor is honest, which neighbourhood suits you, or who might join you for a Saturday hike. Expat forums are noisy, and a phone full of WhatsApp groups is not a social life.
NewNest puts the two things newcomers need most in one place: people to meet, and providers a real person has checked.
What we do
- Events. Small-group meetups where everyone gets to talk, and open events such as relocation seminars, markets and socials.
- Verified providers. Tax, housing, visas, repairs and more. Our team approves every provider before they go live and renews the check every year.
- Safe ways to connect. Event chats that open shortly before an event and disappear after it, and a moderated community.
What we don't do
We are not a marketplace. We don't take bookings or a commission from providers: we make the introduction, and you deal with them directly.
